It has been a while, but I've seen you on the battlefield and once in a while when I make my rounds in Caissa. I hope you are doing well, but I feel that it's no use saying that. You are probably fine since you are still a crafty man.
I wanted to write about my progress lately in terms of catching a swallow. I have dropped my sword in order to better "feel the flow" in my surroundings as this book would say. It mentions being in a trance very similar to meditation, so I wonder if this will do the trick. I have noticed that swallows have been flying a lot closer to me when I train, so my efforts may be bearing fruit.
Perhaps in the future, I will be able to catch one in flight.
Otherwise, I wish you have a good night and that the days that follow are eventful. I also have a gift for you. I hope you find it useful.
Sincerely, Artoria Pendragon King of Knights
[ And there's this rather hefty giftbox is a sword polishing set with 3 different water stones. ]
In truth sometimes I wonder if I made a mistake in attempting to impart my own knowledge of swordplay to you. After all, there is nothing wrong with your fierce pride. What use is teaching a lion how to be a falcon?
So it heartens me to know that it seems you are taking to them well, and my fears were unnecessary. It may be one of the few ways a nameless wanderer can leave his mark on the esteemed King of Knights.
It would be correct to say that it is similar to meditation. Indeed, some would say that the physical training itself can be a form of meditation. I'd like you to keep in mind the image of a pool of water. Much like how it is only when it is clear that it can reflect the beauty of the moon, it is only when our minds are clear that we can reflect the entirety of our potential.
I'm sure you can go far, and if you desire more personal guidance, I can always make time for you.
Yours, Sasaki Kojirou
P.S. Magical weapons don't appear to require sharpening, but I happen to have a spare sword that could use the help. Thank you for the gift.
